Sci-Tek contracted with CH2M Hill (CH2M) for work associated with the Allegheny County Airport Authority for the Airfield Lighting Cable Replacement Project for 2016 and 2017. As a member of CH2M’s design team, Sci-Tek’s scope of work included:
- Obtained and reviewed all available information pertinent to surveying on the airfield.
- Reviewed background drawing files of the airfield to identify the location of the repairs.
- Assisted with the field review of the electrical circuits for the runway and taxiway lighting circuits.
- Prepared FAA Form 7460, Notice of Proposed or Alteration for the area of work, and associated attachments, including the USGS map, the airspacing contour drawings, and incorporation of the phasing plans and details.
- Reviewed project submittals from the contractor.
Sci-Tek also provided field surveying services for locating the existing distance remaining signs on the shoulder of Runway 10L-28R.
