The 2,856-acre Maurice K. Goddard State Park features the 1,680-acre Lake Wilhelm. The marina has 250 car parking spaces, 121 car/trailer parking spaces, a four-lane boat-launching ramp, a courtesy dock, a marina building, and boat fueling station. The existing marina structures and amenities dedicated in 1972 include the watercraft concession, former Environmental Education Classroom, public restrooms, outside patio, observation tower, and “B” Boat Docks. The structures and amenities now exhibit structural and hygienic concerns related to human health and public safety and are showing extreme fatigue, having survived decades in the harsh marine environment. The goal of the project is to fully resolve the public safety concerns by replacing all substandard buildings and amenities with new facilities. As a subconsultant to UpStreet Architects, Sci-Tek:

  • Prepared an ACM, LBP, and Hazardous Building Materials final report, including Identified ACM and LBP location, type, condition and estimated quantities; bulk sample methodology; a list of areas containing Universal Wastes observed; and recommended response actions.
