Sci-Tek is providing surveying services as part of an on-call contract with ALCOSAN’s retained engineer, Hatch.  Task orders provided include:

  • Land surveying services to install temporary benchmarks for vertical and horizontal controls for ongoing construction work at the M-59 site in Braddock.Surveying and mapping services for location and design basis in three project areas proposed for new access shaft manholes (A-40, M-49 & O-15) and a new overflow structure at O-15.
  • A topographic survey of a site located near the intersection of Tracy Street and Preble Avenue to locate a parking area and adjacent features pertinent to a 150-foot strip of pavement and construction of additional parking spaces.
  • A topographic and boundary survey of a vacant lot, located at 2 Doerr Street, to establish the corners of the lot site and available utility information, to facilitate future development.
  • A field and topographic survey of existing culvert features at the former ALMONO Hazelwood site for use in developing a right-of-way easement. Providing subsequent revisions to this easement as necessary due to ongoing collaboration between Alcosan and the site developer.
  • A survey of the existing conditions of an area near and including the intersection of Bausman & Bernd Streets to collect spot elevation data to supplement 2’ contours from GIS being utilized for designing green infrastructure facilities.
  • Review of legal description for the Upper St. Clair and Peters Service Area Modification for treatment and disposal of sewage revisions in the Deerfield Manor and Links View Drive Sewersheds.
  • A survey of the existing site conditions around and including Outlet C27 to support the redesign of the outfall due to erosion and abrasion of existing structures.
  • A survey of visible surface features on Fort Pitt Boulevard between Smithfield and Grant Street for sewer modifications. Also provided traffic control at the intersection of Grant and Fort Pitt Blvd to obtain invert elevations and pipe diameters.
  • Survey to obtain accurate elevations for the floors at access shafts M-30 and M-46.
  • Topographic survey of four boring locations at A-42 for a geotechnical investigation.
