Sci-Tek provided site civil design to assist with design of renovations and expansion of various building and site components at the existing PennDOT owned, Monroe County Welcome Center, Site F for the Department of General Services in Philadelphia, PA. Sci-Tek assisted with the following services:
Schematic Design Phase
- Prepared the preliminary site plans and design details for review and adjustments.
- Prepared a preliminary construction cost estimate for the site civil portion of the work.
Design Development Phase
- Coordinated with the client on the final selection and design for the replacement of honeycomb paver and drainage system.
- Coordinated with the client on the site design requirements for the parking lot modifications including striping details and information related to the truck turning radius modifications near the teardrop island.
- Attended one design development review meeting with the DGS in Harrisburg.
Construction Document Phase
- Coordinated with the client on requirements for the final site-civil design plans and specifications.
- Coordinated with the client on the selection and design for the replacement of honeycomb paver and drainage system.
- Provided final site design plans, details and specifications for bidding phase.
- Provided an updated construction cost estimate for the site civil portion of the work.
- Attended Construction Document review meeting with the DGS in Harrisburg.
- Attended bid/negotiation phase meetings and conducted two site visits.
