Sci-Tek is providing data analysis and logistics management support to the Green Stormwater Operations (GSO) Program of the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD). The City of Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters (GCCW) is a plan to address the issue of combined sewer overflows over the next 25 years through the management of runoff from more than a third of the impervious surfaces in the combined sewer network. GSO’s role in GCCW program is to manage the operations and maintenance of stormwater management practices (SMP). For the past five years, Sci-Tek has played a key role in the GSO program through asset management, data analysis, and logistics coordination. GSO performs duties related to the maintenance of PWD GSI projects, including GSI design review, inspecting plant tagging and planting, preparing punch-list items, surface and subsurface inspections, as well as other operations responsibilities. For this project, Sci-Tek is providing the following services:

  • Data Analysis and Logistics Support and Assistance
    • Creation, Modification, and Review of an Array of Work Orders and Work Order Types Based on Specified Schedules or Inspection Reports
    • Data Integration from Multiple Sources to Support Annual Reporting and Asset Management Initiatives
    • Coordination of Work Orders with Required Access or Right-Of-Way Permits
    • Review of Deliverables, Reports, or Photo-Documentation Associated with Completed Work Orders
    • Provision of Accurate and Reliable Updates to Information in the Department’s Environmental Data Tracking Systems to Ensure that Regulatory Requirements Are Met
    • Completion of Technical Memoranda and Other Documents to Display Relevant Data and Statistical Information Collected by Staff
  • Field Work and On-Call Land Surveying
    • An existing conditions and topography survey to supplement data for design of the PFD Engine 38 Facility
    • Survey of subsurface boring locations for two stormwater basins for stormwater management modifications
  • Project Management and Progress Reports
    • Project Management, QA/QC support, and project budget oversight
