Sci-Tek is providing site design for development of a new mid-rise building at the Northview Heights Community for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. The mid-rise project will consist of two 4-story wings with a community center and will occupy approximately 4 acres along Penfort Street within the 88-acre Northview Heights property. Sci-Tek is providing engineering, surveying, and other services inclusive of:
- Project management including coordination of subcontractor team meetings, services and deliverables.
- Geotechnical engineering including a subsurface exploration for the building and parking lot.
- Land surveying services including ticket entry with the PA One Call System for existing utilities, survey control points, partial ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey and map, and subdivision plan.
- Video inspection of 2,185 linear feet of existing 15-inch and 24-inch diameter combined sewer located along Penfort Street and traversing the proposed site.
- Fire hydrant flow test of two hydrants on Penfort Street and report documenting the fire hydrant number, location, static pressure, residual pressure and observed metered flow.
- Construction administration services including review of the site grading specifications, quality control plan, product submittals and testing documentation, as well as site inspections during construction.
