New Water Treatment Plant

Sci-Tek provided site civil design services for the design and construction of a new water treatment plant for Manor Township Joint Municipal Authority (MTJMA) located in Ford City, PA.  The new plant which is on a site located north of the intersection of Quay Street and Railroad Drive, adjacent to the existing plant, will ultimately replace the existing facility.

• A site survey was provided which identified horizontal and vertical controls to properly establish and verify the existing section lines, property lines, platted lot lines, easements, right-of-way, topographic data, and elevations.
• The site design included preparation of site plans for existing conditions, demolition, dimensioned site layout, grading, yard piping and site utilities, yard structures, access roads, parking, sidewalks, stormwater management, erosion and sediment controls, and necessary details for site improvements.
• Specifications were prepared for demolition and salvage, excavation and fill for structures, trenching and backfill, pavement, seeding and sodding, chain link fences and gates, utility services, drainage structures and piping, sewer structures and piping, and erosion and sediment controls.
• Sci-Tek also provided permitting inclusive of the Pennsylvania Natural Diversity Inventory (PNDI), and an Erosion and Sedimentations Plan for submission to the Armstrong County Conservation District.
