Under Capital Region Water’s City Beautiful H2O Program Plan, Brown and Caldwell is tasked with developing the detailed Priority Planning Area Plan in Lower Paxton Creek. The Priority Planning Area Plan will provide a long-range strategy for GSI implementation within each Planning Area as well as be used to identify and rank the highest priority GSI and “grey” storage and/or treatment projects to move forward into construction. The Lower Paxton Creek Planning Area encompasses a 948-acre area within the Paxton Creek Interceptor Sewershed and encompasses seven combined sewer catchments and 3 separate sanitary/stormwater catchments. As a subconsultant to Brown and Caldwell, Sci-Tek is providing engineering support services under the following tasks:
DOCUMENT AND DATA REVIEW
- Update Mapping and GIS database with opportunities and constraints overlays to support feasibility assessment
PRIORITY PLANNING AREA DEVELOPMENT – LOCAL CONTROL STRATEGIES WORKSHOP
- Presentation materials including relevant supporting figures, handouts, and PowerPoint presentation
- Summary of field observations
PRIORITY PLANNING AREA DEVELOPMENT – LOCAL CONTROL STRATEGIES FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENTS
-Map and GIS shapefile of priority planning area depicting feasible decentralized green/grey control strategies projects
- Document GSI sizing, concept level construction cost estimates, as well as tributary areas managed by technology and delineated by public/private as well as surface/roof
- Preliminary design information for each project
PRIORITY PLANNING AREA DEVELOPMENT – PRIORITIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
- Prioritization and Implementation Plan document with summary narrative, plan exhibits, and detailed implementation schedule.
- Map and GIS shapefile of priority planning area depicting the prioritization of feasible decentralized green/grey control strategies projects
- Update the Excel workbook documenting the prioritization and implementation plan for the feasible decentralized green/grey control strategies projects.
