Historic Arsenal Park is the largest and most central community park within the neighborhood of Lawrenceville and serves multiple neighborhoods. Based on the Arsenal Park Master Plan, landscape architect Paskek+MTR is designing the Phase I project, which includes an imaginative play environment, accessible routes into and through the park and stormwater management. The design goal is to respectfully integrate new facilities with restored historic structures, so park users may enjoy year-round recreational and educational use. The park will build a connection to nearby Arsenal Schools and the Allegheny County Health Department and incorporate pedestrian and bicycle connections. Sci-Tek is providing land surveying services and stormwater management services, including the following:
SURVEYING
- Topographic survey of existing site conditions including details on existing improvements, such as buildings, curbs, shoulders, ramps, sidewalks, islands, pavement, curb inlets, signs, traffic signals, manholes, storm drain inlets, hydrants, valves, vaults, poles and other visible above ground utility appurtenances.
- Boundary retracement survey of the subject tract
STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
- Design support for low impact development (LID) and Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Facilities.
