Sci-Tek was retained by Acclivity Development for a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) associated with a new multi-story residential building located at 327 N Negley Avenue in Pittsburgh. Acclivity Development is planning to build a multi-story residential building and renovate the rotunda of the now defunct synagogue that is located in the Highland Park/ East Liberty/ Garfield area. For this project, Sci-Tek provided the following:
- A Phase I ESA environmental site assessment including a review of historical records of the site and surrounding areas, a review of readily available government records, interviews with current property owners, and a site inspection. The assessment was performed in accordance with ASTM E-1527-13 and the EPA All Appropriate Inquiry Rule to comply with Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency’s development submission requirements.
- Environmental testing including an asbestos survey, lead-based paint sampling and a hazardous material assessment for quantities of PCB contained in transformers and fluorescent lamp bulbs and other hazardous materials in accordance with EPA and DEP regulations.
Written reports were provided with conclusions and recommendations for the environmental investigations.
